Group for Creative Meditation 2010
Roberto Assagioli in the Sundial House Group for Creative Meditation Papers has said "We are all psychologists, unconscious psychologists, in as much as we have constant psychological experiences within ourselves and we constantly judge or misjudge others psychologically. Except that we are empirical, unscientific and, apparently, very poor psychologists! Or so it has been said.
As we cannot therefore avoid being psychologists, it is just as well to try to be better ones! As personalities we are in a psychological laboratory twenty four hours a day, so we cannot escape psychology. Let us recognise this as a fact and make the very best of it.
The psychological laboratory in which we have to learn our skills is the university of life. There are levels of study - nursery, junior, secondary and university, and along the way we make many a mistake, fight and win many a battle, give up, rally and retry. And so it is for all of us".

During the May 1950 Arcane School Meeting in Switzerland Dr Roberto Assagioli presented a paper in which he stated that it was his intention to respond to a Hierarchical request to form a worldwide group of trained creative meditators. It was an invitation sent out to all the men and women present and into the future who would be willing to take on this group preparatory work, essential to paving the way for the birthing of the new world culture and the appearance of the Christ Consciousness.
This call was made for the gathering together of a team of men and women of goodwill, who would be willing to work simultaneously and unanimously as a group, using the six foundational Laws and Principles (seed ideas) promoted by Djwhal Khul, in the establishment of right human relations through goodwill and synthesis.
These papers are available and beginning December 21st we will be publishing one new paper every month. These papers are part of the Group Service Activity that uses prayer and meditation to contribute to positive thought patterns that will help give birth to a new world culture.

A Correspondence Training Course in Creative Meditation
This training course in Group Creative Meditation was started in the 1950's in England in response to a growing demand for a practical teaching on meditation suitable for people of any spiritual or religious persuasion.
Students receive study papers every two months, starting 21 December every year. The group works with six seed ideas which are:
Right Human Relations; Goodwill; Group Endeavour; Unanimity; Spiritual Approach and Essential Divinity.
On application students can choose to work with 1-2-1 mentor designed to support and encourage them through each course.
The Correspondence Course is divided into three annual sections:
Course One - contains six study papers that clarify the Spiritual Laws and Principles studied throughout, offering practical training in Concentration, Reflective and Receptive Meditation, Visualisation, Invocation, Radiation and Blessing.
Course Two - follows the same formula progressing the work undertaken by working with various aspects of Training in Soul Awareness and Positive Thinking.
Course Three - examines obstacles and hindrances on the path of spiritual progress within the framework of the seven psychological types. Techniques are suggested for dissipation and transformation of problems personal and planetary.

In the present world climate the crises and challenges that face us individually and collectively can be overwhelming and there can come a point where we feel that what we can do is nothing. At these moments Roberto Assagioli has offered the following advice and invitation to each one of us: 'When we meditate on these great themes [The Laws and Principles of the Kingdom of God] we are joining on the inner levels with others working for the same purpose. All know the added power of concerted group action, and realisation that we are part of a great meditating, subjectively building group counteracts the tendency of the isolated individual to feel ineffective, or become the victim of anxiety, negativity and even despair. The sense of isolation is, in fact, artificial; we all participate consciously or unconsciously and willingly or unwillingly - in the life of the whole of humanity, and even more so in the Life of the Universe. The more we recognise this and tune into and work with the larger Life, the more serene and effective we become, and one of the most practical steps in this direction is creative meditation,'
