The fact that we see the world picture as one of outstanding chaos and warring forces, of the persecution of minorities, of world anxiety and terror does not really mean that we are seeing the picture as it is. In order to see beyond the form, we need to cultivate the art of dis-identification, and an ability to stand steady in spiritual being.
The worldwide movement of creative meditation is dedicated to laying the foundations of the new civilisation through prayer, meditation, and service. This movement subjectively cooperates as architects and builders of the New Age by anchoring the Laws and Principles of the Soul in the thought aura of the world.
As creative observers, we are searching for specks of golden new consciousness. We cannot choose to withdraw and isolate ourselves from the constant stream of news, since our subtle vehicles are merged within an ocean of etheric astral and mental forces and we are not isolated from the rest of humanity.
Our daily exposure to current affairs is, in fact, an opportunity to serve and aid humanity. How do we capitalise on this opportunity for a spiritual workout?
First, we need to cultivate an editorial approach to receiving current affairs, thereby dealing with the rapid bombardment of different snippets of news. The assortment of emotionally-charged stimuli weakens the innate capacity to empathise with loving understanding. Many new insights are obscured because of this approach.
What then is the remedy? We are advised to adopt the stance of the Observer, instead of being passive receptors. As we consciously stand in spiritual being aligned with the soul, we can choose to manage the emotional and mental responses brought about by the news. Being the Observer gives us the ability to become aware, detached, and discriminative. With this perspective, we can recognise the soulful work being carried out by both ordinary and extraordinary individuals as service on behalf of humanity and the planet.
The call of the Divine in the depths of our being is constantly urging us to do more in order to lighten the load of human misery and suffering by standing in spiritual being.
