Meditation at the Full Moon

Meditation is a service to humanity wherein the mind is used as a channel for the reception and direction of the energies of light, love and the will-to-good into human consciousness. The lunar cycles are significant, because at the time of the full moon spiritual energies are uniquely available and a closer communication becomes possible between humanity and the Hierarchy.
Each month at the time of ‘full moon – full sun’, the inflowing energies carry the specific qualities of the zodiacal constellations and these energies consequently play sequentially upon humanity, establishing the various divine attributes within the consciousness of humankind.
Meditation at the times of the full and new moon are widely observed; individuals and groups all over the world are following this rhythm and seeking to render the service of unanimous and simultaneous meditation during these periods.

During 2023 the Sundial House Full Moon meditations will be tracing the story of Hercules and endeavouring to recognise how he, in his twelve labours, is playing the part of the aspirant upon the Path of Discipleship.
On his journey through the zodiacal year, he undertakes certain tasks, which are symbolic in nature, passing through certain episodes and events that portray for all time, the nature of the training and opportunities which engage the individual or group and the whole of humanity.

It is as though God had pictured in space his Plan for the working out of evolution of the human spirit back to its source.”
The Labours of Hercules is a universal story and aspects of the tasks or labours that are undertaken have special relevance to humanity now. Humanity is beginning to tread the spiritual path. Like Hercules, at the outset of the challenges, we try personality methods often with resulting failures. Eventually, however, the wisdom of the group highlights the emerging opportunity of the now, so that the light of the soul leads to success through service to the Whole.
Faced with the present convergence of problems in the world, many people are coming to regard the present and future with anxiety. In reality, the problems collectively faced offer a spiritual opportunity that is driving the undesirable to the surface. Here it can be seen for what it is and this presents a transformative choice for change.
